Charles began his costs career as a Law Cost Draftsman and Cost Consultant in London in 1991 where he gained extensive experience in all levels of general litigation and costs disputes.
Upon moving to Australia in 2000 Charles worked for a number of high profile Law firms in house as a Costs Consultant and subsequently established his own Consultancy Firm. Charles brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team at Pattison Hardman having specialized in the field of Costs Consultancy for in excess of 25 years and having managed teams of costers.
Charles is often engaged by law firms to conduct full audits of their costing framework and work in progress (WIP) funding and exposure. Charles’s commercial approach to legal practice management and costs consulting provides an invaluable service back to clients resulting in greater costs recovery and fewer costs leakages. Charles provides annual practice management and compliance training to clients and the industry ensuring that his clients are at the forefront of advancements and developments in the costing arena.
Having worked internally in a large personal injury practice Charles has experienced firsthand the requirements this segment of the industry requires both for personal injury law firms and insurers. Charles brings a flexible and innovative approach to servicing his clients.
